Based in Charlestown, Massachusetts, R.W. Sullivan Engineering has provided a depth of engineering services to design and institutional clients throughout New England since 1945. R.W. Sullivan Engineering’s offerings range from electrical support to HVAC services, with clients coming from diverse sectors, such as healthcare and residential.

One of the firm’s latest healthcare projects involved renovation efforts at multiple Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates locations throughout the state. The Concord location alone required fit-out maintenance on approximately 50,000 square feet of office space. Meanwhile, work at the company’s Kenmore location ultimately allowed Harvard Vanguard to introduce a series of new outpatient programs, including urology and physical therapy.

The company’s residential projects include the 726 unit, 800,000-square-foot Overlook Ridge residential complex in Malden. The project also featured a 148,000-square-foot parking space, with total construction costs reaching $80 million. The City Square project in Worcester involved a smaller space, occupying approximately 369,000 square feet, but challenged the engineering team with the inclusion of specialized spaces, such as a fitness facility and ground floor retail space.
